GOING GREENE BEGINNER PROGRAM
Ages 4-5 years,The Going Greene program is designed to accommodate the stamina of a young skier and focuses on building strong skill basics in a supportive and safe group environment. This program a great stepping stone into the Club's Nancy Greene Ski League. The Club's Going Greene is a 3 hour/day program and will be held on 12 consecutive Sundays (10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.) from December through to March. Program participants are encouraged to participate in other optional fun events hosted by the Club. Program Dates: Sunday, December 20, 2009 through to March 7, 2010 (weather permitting) Program Cost: $325.00 (includes 12 wks of ski coaching @ 3 hrs. a day & also includes BC Alpine insurance fees of approx. $95.00/skier)
NANCY GREENE SKI LEAGUE
Ages 4-11 years, The Nancy Greene Ski League (NGSL) is the FUNdamental stage for young skiers to develop sound skiing and exposure to ski racing basics, but most of all, a lifelong love for skiing.
Manning's NGSL offers a social time to develop skiing skills through regular skiing and optional ski races.
Our Coaches emphasize the Skier Responsibility Code and Snow Stars Program. The NGSL is a primary entry level national program for all other alpine ski racing programs in Canada.
Manning's NGSL will be held on 14 consecutive Sundays (10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) from December through to March. Program participants are encouraged to attend optional ski race events throughout the season. These optional ski races are additional expenses (usually ranging from $25.00 to $45.00) and are not included in Manning's NGSL program cost as outlined below.
Program Dates: Sunday, December 13, 2009 through to March 14, 2010 (weather permitting)
Program Cost: $325.00 (includes 14 wks. of ski coaching @ 4hrs. a day & BC Alpine insurance fees of approx. $120.00/skier)
HIGH PERFORMANCE/TECHNICAL SKILL PROGRAM
Ages 11-15 years, This is also a fun program building on the NGSL basics as outlined above, offering skiers the opportunity to improve their skiing skills with an increased focus on technical skills and ski racing. Gate drills, race courses, mogul skiing and steep drills will be used to enhance abilities to new levels.Our Coaches will continue to emphasize the Skier Responsibility Code.
Manning's High Performance/Technical Skills Program will be held on 14 consecutive Sundays (10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) from December through to March. Optional ski events and demonstrations will be announced when available. Optional events may be subject to additional fees and therefore are not included in Manning's program cost as outlined below.
